I've decided

Its time to buy a scale. I have only weighed myself on the Wii and I'm not even sure its accurate but that was also quite awhile ago. I think seeing my actual weight will scare me into starting to run. Tomorrow is a holiday but that just means I can get started on Tuesday. Here's hoping I can get back to running 4 miles again. Also I've been thinking about buying a bike, thoughts?

I have a bike. It's small and crappy and I've had it since I was 12, but I would LOVE to ride with you!!

I bought a mountain bike and an indoor stationary bike on our local news classifieds website. They were in ok shape, for pretty cheap (40$ and 15$) and didn't cost much to bring back to life! (I didn't spend over 10$ to fix them!) It's always an option! I stopped using Ebay, but they may have some great stuff there!

I envy those of you who run, I worry about my knees I'm still pretty heavy though. Did you just start it one day? Decide to run and just do it? Or did you work up to it?

PS, my Wii is only 9lbs off my doctors office scale, and 7 off my digital bathroom scale. (I think the doctors office is due to they weigh me in shoes!) If you continually use one way of weighing you'll still see the changes, right?

Carla as soon as I get a bike I'm calling you!
Suzice- I think riding a bike would be fun for exercise. I just started running one day. I was invited to go our community college and run the stadium stairs with a few friends of mine and they would also run laps on the track. I started doing it with them one day and within a few weeks I was running 2 miles. I kept it up and in two months I was running four miles. I did a military fun run and after that I took a short break from running and I haven't been able to get back into it. I think I run better in the summer though. I am going to start tomorrow and I'm sure I'm in the 190's, you just have to start somewhere. Get some good music to listen too and it can be really freeing.

Music! I usually just listen to whatever they are playing at the gym. I sometimes wonder how you people keep their players from getting sweaty. They seem to just shove them in their shirts. (I'm unlucky, I don't perspire, I all out sweat!!)

It's nice to hear of those that just start running, and have it be successful! I am trying it, it is slow going. The doctor said, "Do what's comfortable!" Me...I run as fast as others fast walk. (Talk about reality check ;] ) You give me hope that just doing it, will work out in the end!!
